Carrier Liability Coverage
It is now possible to add carrier liability coverage amounts to your tariffs, and have these amounts display when running rate requests.
View Carrier Liability Coverage
To estimate more accurate carrier liability coverage, first, choose whether your freight contains any used goods or not. Freight with used goods will be covered differently compared to shipping all new goods.
To indicate your freight contains used goods, on the Rate Quotes page, click the checkbox next to Contains Used Goods.
If your shipment does not contain used goods, leave the checkbox as is.
When you run rates, then the rate will contain the estimated carrier liability coverage in the Service Level column. Only carriers that have been set up in the Miranda system with their coverage amounts per pound, will display coverage amounts on rates.
NOTE: More carriers will be brought online over time showing these coverage rates.
Adding Carrier Liability Coverage to your Tariffs
If your company has its own tariffs in Miranda, then it is possible to define your carrier liability coverage in Carrier profiles.
Go to Carriers on the left side of Miranda.
Search for and select the Carrier that your tariff is with.
Click on the Tariffs tab.
Click the tariff to open it up.
Then fill out any FAK Definitions you need to on that tab, followed by entering the coverage per pound on new freight on the Liability Limitations tab.
Make sure and click Save Changes when you're finished editing the data.
Customer Contacts & Portal Invitations in one tab
With this update, the Customer Portal invitations tab on customer profiles has been moved to inside our updated Contacts tab on customer profiles.
NOTE: Also with this update, all existing Customer Portal invitations have been merged to the Contacts created within customers using the email address to match. If there was not a matching email within contacts, then the Customer Portal invitation was turned into a new contact.
You will still add, edit, and remove customer contacts on the Contacts tab in customer profiles.
To do this, go to Customers > Select a customer > Contacts tab.
To invite a customer contact onto your Customer Portal, click the Invite to Portal button next to contacts.
Once the customer has been invited, then they will display as a pending invite.
After the customer accepts, it will also display as accepted.
Set Custom Minimum Profit on the fly
You can now modify your minimum profit on rate quotes on the fly. Choose the Custom option in the top right of the rates, and change the Minimum Profit amount to ensure all rates display with your preferred minimum profit applied.
