We have several new features in this release, starting with an updated design for Rate Quotes, Results & Price History.
All rates have been moved to Business Days.
There are improvements to OmniSearch, Filters on the new order grid, open an order into a new tab from the order grid, and the ability to quickly open a carrier's website with the PRO number copied from the order grid, and more.
Rate Quotes, Results, & Price History
The Rate Quotes & Results page along with Price History has been redesigned to be more clear & easy to use. Outside of an updated look, there are a few new things you can do now.
This new design will be available on the Rate Quotes page, AND inside an order when selecting a rate.
In addition, Price History is now available inside an order to be selected as well.
1. Select a different city from a zip code, or see all zip codes for a specific city.
When you type in the Pickup or Delivery fields on the Rate Quotes page, you can type in a zip code or a city and get matching results that allow you to choose the one this shipment is for.
2. Select Accessorials from the drop down.
The accessorials can now be chosen from a drop down just like selecting accessorials inside an order.
3. Quickly Reset the quote page form.
Next to Get Quotes, is a new button to "Reset Form". Click this to erase the information on the Rate Quotes page to start a new quote.
4. Quickly view Price History full screen
The Price History can still be accessed with the Price History tab at the top of the Rate Quotes page and will utilize your full screen to display information.
5. View Rate Results and Edit Quote Details
When you view rate results, you'll see them in a cleaner, more streamlined format so that financial information can be compared in single columns. We've also summarized the information from the quote and placed this on the left side to see a summary but not take up the entire space of the Rate Quotes inputs.
On the Rate Results, similar to before, above the results you can define the margin you wish to apply for this quote.
View COGS charges
To view the specific charges, click the COGS amount to see the charge breakdown.
See missing accessorials from Carriers
Just like previously, you will be alerted to rates that do not include a certain selected accessorial by the '*' that will be present on the Revenue amount of a particular rate. To see the accessorial that is not included, click the COGS amount and this will display that info.
Change Quote Details
If you need to change details about the quote, click Edit Details on the left side.
6. Create an order or save/share quote.
From these rate results, you can check one OR multiple rates on the left side.
To create an order, check the single rate you wish to create the order with and click Create Order at the bottom of the results.
NOTE: An order cannot be created with multiple rates selected. Choose one and then create the order.
To Save or Share a quote, select one or more rates you wish to save or share, and then click Save Quote or Share Quote at the bottom of the results.
All rates now return in business days and exclude holidays. This release also updates the rates returned in the Customer Portal. This change puts Miranda and Customer Portal in line with industry standard rates.
OmniSearch has been refreshed in several ways to make searching for orders, shipments, and quotes much faster. The extra cumbersome filters on how you search has been removed, now you simply need to start typing and Miranda will show you the best results of your search.
To start searching, click anywhere in the Omnisearch field.
You can search orders and shipments by typing in any of the following:
Order ID, Shipment ID, BOL, PRO, PO Number, or Pickup Reference Number.
Type in your number and press enter and results will appear.
By default, any matching orders, shipments, or quotes will be displayed, but if you want to see only results of a certain type, you can click onto any one of the tabs at the top.
To open a result, click on it once and you will be taken to the order/shipment/quote and the results window will go away.
You can also now search saved or shared quotes in Miranda by typing in the Quote ID.
Display and Clear Filters on new Order Grid
We have added another way to more easily see what filters are applied on your order grid at any time and another way to easily clear them.
At the bottom of any grid view in the NEW Order Grid, any columns that are currently being filtered will display at the bottom.
You can clear a single column filter by clicking the X next to the column name.
You can clear all filters by clicking the Clear All button.
The order grid will automatically refresh when clearing filters.
Open an order into a new tab
You can now open an order on the new order grid into a new tab to preserve your current grid view. To do so, right click on an order and choose Open Order in New Tab, and a new Chrome tab will be created with the order that was right clicked.
Go to Carrier's Website
You can now more easily open a carrier's website from the new order grid AND copy the PRO number at the same time to more easily look up shipments on carrier's sites.
This feature will be turned on carrier by carrier, but most LTL carriers should be added very shortly.
To access the carrier's website from the order grid, right click on an order that has a carrier assigned to it, and click Go to Carrier's Website.
This will open a new Chrome tab taking you to the Carrier's Website and the PRO number will also automatically be copied to your clipboard so you can paste this on the carrier's website to track it.
Selecting carrier on rate inside orders now updates shipment carrier
Inside orders, it's always been possible to change the rate on an existing order by changing the order back to Quote Pending and selecting a new rate. Afterwards though, it also required you to change the carrier on the Shipments tab.
Now, when you select a new rate on an order, the carrier and mode will automatically be updated when selecting the new rate. This will work on any order, including InterConnect orders.
NOTE: This will also update COGS, and you will be given an option to update the Customer Quote as well.
To make the HazMat selection easier, ONLY select HazMat at the item level and this will automatically update the HazMat accessorial to be there, or not, based on whether any items have HazMat checked.
To enable HazMat for a Rate Request or inside an order, access the Items table and check HazMat on any items that are hazardous.
This will automatically add a HazMat accessorial to the order or rate quote if any items have that checked. If you uncheck HazMat on all items, then the HazMat accessorial will automatically be removed.
Allowed Variance on Portal Quotes
When a customer goes to book a saved or shared quote on Customer Portal, the rate is automatically verified to detect any changes in COGS. If there is a change, then the customer must pick an updated rate.
Now, we have introduced Allowed Variance, so that at a company level, a percentage can be filled in to allow the margin to change by the specified amount and still allow the customer to book at the original quoted price. This is controlled by permissions and can be accessed if a user has security privileges in Settings > Rating Engine.
NOTE: This allowed variance controls all customers on the Customer Portal.
- When selecting addresses inside an order that was created from a rate quote, any addresses with matching zip codes from the customer will be displayed at the top of the results.
- The "Comments" field inside an order has been renamed to "Internal Comments" so that it's clear this field will not be a part of the Bill of Lading.
- "Equipment" and "Space Required" fields will no longer be defaulted on orders to make it more clear which orders have had this data purposefully set.
- The Item History data on customers has been cleaned up to remove items that did not have a class or a description. Also resolved the issue allowing these items to be created without that information.
- Resolved an issue with Earliest Pickup and Earliest Delivery filters on the new Order Grid
- Increased the Reports data sync to start once every hour instead of every two hours
- Resolved an issue with when running a Report at night and the dates are off by 1 day
- Resolved an issue with sorting on order and reports grids
- Resolved an issue with opening multiple carriers from load board results
- Resolved an issue where special instructions from the customer profile in a certain situation did not populate on the order
